This 17,000 square foot, two-story school building is the latest of multiple successful projects we have completed for Pines Montessori. The design is centered on the core principles of Montessori education, creating a dedicated learning environment that is both simple and intentional.

The building houses four large Montessori classrooms, with exterior patios accessible from a central gathering and circulation space to encourage fluid transition between indoor and outdoor learning. The spacious interiors allow children to move freely and engage in individual activities, true to the Montessori method.

The architecture is characterized by a simple, minimal design, deliberately intended to let the children's activities and work become the "decoration" of the space.

The classrooms are custom-tailored for the educational model, incorporating: Varied ceiling heights to create distinct zones, open storage for easy accessibility, designed-in observation points that do not intrude on the children's work, abundant natural daylighting, prominent, welcoming greeting spaces.

A significant effort was made to preserve the natural green space on the school site, maintaining a valuable connection to nature for the students.
